The AuSable River Queen
The AuSable River Queen is the only paddlewheel riverboat of its kind and offers a variety of tours. Live music is provided on the AuSable River Queen on weekends and there is a snack bar as well. Lumberman’s Monument Visitor’s Center
Lumberman’s Monument Visitor Center interprets the area’s colorful lumbering past. Learn about the industry that helped develop northern Michigan and the men who cut the timber that helped build a nation. Iargo Springs Interpretive Site
Located on River Road Scenic Byway, this site offers a breathtaking view of the AuSable River Valley from a observation deck 300 feet above the river. For the adventurous, walk down 294 steps and enter a mystical place where underground springs come together and form cold water streams. Walk along the elevated boardwalk and enjoy the serenity. Wurtsmith Air Museum
The Wurtsmith Air Museum consists of three hangars located at the Oscoda-Wurtsmith Airport, just off F-41, NW of Oscoda. It is on the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base. once a SAC Base, that was closed in 1993.
